报告摘要:In this talk, we will discuss how light can be manipulated using a single type of anisotropic material by purely rotating optical axis. We construct transformation media utilizing effective media of varying optical axes. This kind of transformation media corresponds in general to an area-preserving map. We will apply such a framework to construct a wave expander and a virtual shifter as two examples to manipulate in-plane wave propagation. For out-of-plane wave propagation, we will discuss how an optical axes profile can be used to construct a meta-surface. By employing an optical axis profile through rotating the same kind of optical antennas, we can numerically demonstrate polarization-dependent bending and focusing. We will also extend our discussion to acoustic anisotropy and its usage to manipulate acoustic waves
